Changes to TYPE AWD/SV for 2011
Due to the increasing number of competitors in Type SV the club decided that it was time to change Type SV to a club specific Type AWD/SV and divide this into sub-classes depending on the level of modification as per the guidelines for the existing Type 1-4.
AWD production vehicles will be classified:
Type AWD 1/2,
Type AWD/SV 3,
Type AWD/SV 4
and SV Kit and low volume special vehicles will be classified:
Type AWD/SV-3 and Type AWD/SV-4.

Tribute to Beb Fox - by Anthony Hyde
Beb Fox from Canberra passed away in November 2010 aged 75 after a battle with mesothelioma (asbestos exposure). Amongst many things, he was a foundation member of the Southern District Motorsports Association and had significant involvement with motorsport in the region with race & rally car scrutineering and as a motorsport competitor.

Tesla Electric Vehicle Blasts Around Track

Thanks to Rob Wall for coordinating with local company Couch Creative to host a media event at our circuit as part of the Electric Vehicle Festival held in October. Simon Hackett, owner of the Tesla electric sports car (based on a Lotus Elise chassis) generously gave many club members a lap. The acceleration described as like being in a jet plane, being thrust back in takeoff.
